Ryan Jerz’s review published on Letterboxd:
All aboard the Dad Movie Express. This was my first John Wayne movie, and he is decent, despite being a shit. Holy smokes do all the impressions hit perfectly.

Despite this being a good old racist cowboys and Indians movie, it hits on at least one theme I wasn't expecting that resonates now: class warfare. It does well here to show upper class attitudes. Not only was Dallas accepted by Mrs. Mallory only after sufficiently proving that she wasn't a dirty street urchin, but we get the corrupt-ass banker too! That dude was the quintessential Republican in 2025. For real. Talk to one that owns a small business. They're the same people! Screaming about taxes and keeping what's theirs, etc. Great stuff. Him getting his earns a half star.

This wasn't at all bad, but it deserves criticism for just being lazy in its depictions of the Apaches.
